Application Procedures and Forms

1. Application Form - Complete online with the $60 application fee at the icon below.
   
   
2. Photograph - A recent photograph of your child is optional but helpful to us.
3. School Transcript Release Form - Please send a signed release form to your child's current school. School records should be sent by your child's current school to us directly.
4. Child Interview - Once your application is complete, we will contact you to make an appointment to interview your child. These visits last from 30 minutes to 1/2 day, depending on the grade level of the child.
5. School Tour - Required. Please make a reservation.
6. Educational Records Bureau Test - The Educational Records Bureau (www.erbtest.org) administers the standardized tests required by most New York City independent schools. Schedule an early appointment for your child by calling 212-672-9800. Be sure to include Alexander Robertson School in the list of the schools you choose to receive test results.

Notification of Admission Decisions

Parents will be notified of acceptances for the next academic year in February according to the dates specified by the Independent School Admissions Association of Greater New York (www.ISAAGNY.org).

Financial Aid

A family's request for aid does not influence the admissions process and is considered only after the student is accepted to the school. Parents who are requesting financial aid should complete the TADS (Tuition Aid Data Services) application online by Jan 7, 2012.

As with many independent schools, we use TADS to help us gather necessary information we require. TADS does not determine the amount of financial aid awarded, but merely assists us to determine a family’s ability to contribute. Weekly Tours: Most Thursdays from 9:45-10:30am (Individual appointments available upon request)

The school is located at 3 West 95th Street at Central Park West.
By train, take the B or C train to 96th Street.
By bus, take the M7, M10, M11 to 94th or 96th Street or take the M96 to Central Park West.
