| Philosophy | The Alexander Robertson School treats each child as an individual while emphasizing
each child's importance to the larger community. Our teachers tailor a traditional, academically rigorous elementary education to each child's strengths and learning styles. At ARS, children master skills through hands-on exploration. French, music, art, and physical education round out our program. Our proximity to Central Park offers a special opportunity for play and learning. Since developing leadership and respect for others are integral to the ARS philosophy, all classes participate in community and global service projects throughout the year. |
| Calendar | School begins the week after Labor Day and ends in early June. We observe the major Christian holidays and the Jewish High Holidays. |
